Friends over for beer? Pick HaloShort with the TV remote
Friends bring beer over, and you want to put the short drama you were just talking about on the TV—but first everyone starts figuring out whose phone to connect and who's going to operate it. Is there a more direct way? If your TV device is compatible, HaloShort can be installed on the TV side, and you pick shows with the remote that's already on the table.

Let the app on the TV handle playback
HaloShort is an Android TV short drama app. You browse with the directional keys, confirm to enter, and go back up a level. When it runs directly on a compatible TV or box, everyday content selection happens on that device—no need to treat passing a phone around as a fixed part of the gathering.
This is a different path from casting that starts on a phone. Casting options vary in what they require of the phone; the TV-side app approach, and there's no need to assume HaloShort supports some particular casting protocol. If a friend wants to pick the next one, just hand over the remote.
What matters is the system, not just the TV brand
Android TV, Google TV, and compatible TVs or boxes with Android underneath are all worth checking further for installation requirements. The same brand has different systems and models, so "smart TV" on the box isn't enough to go on.
You can start by searching HaloShort in the Emotn store and following the device instructions to get it. Before friends arrive, doing one full run-through of entering content, picking an episode, and pausing saves you from figuring out the buttons on the day of the gathering.
Beer and snacks on the table, controls within reach
The app's content is currently free to watch. When you're actually watching together, pick a story everyone's willing to watch and keep the remote somewhere easy to grab; when you're serving food, chatting, or answering the door, pause if you need to. Installation is a one-time bit of prep—what you'll use day to day is those few actions after you pick up the remote.
